So begins the tale of the little knave-a film about straddling gender barriers, discovering desire, wanting what you cannot keep, and learning to let go. Introducing Cheyenne de la vega as the little thief who finally steals something she is compelled to return. In the process, she exchanges nihilism for the audacity of hope. Filmed on both b/w and color Super 8 mm, with a cast and crew composed of women, the little knave is an enormously rewarding and visually stunning film inspired by the works of Albert Lamorisse.
